Our Founder

Dr. Bessie Foster

Founder of Train Em’ Up Ministries and Train Em’ Up Destiny Global Outreach Center

The journey of Train Em’ Up Ministries began in 2004 when Dr. Bessie Foster answered a God-given call to teach, train, equip, and empower people to discover their God-given purpose and embrace a life of faith, ministry, and service. What began as an act of obedience grew into a lifelong commitment to serving others, developing leaders, and bringing hope to individuals and communities.

Through years of ministry, theological education, teaching, mentorship, prayer, and outreach, Dr. Bessie remained committed to helping people grow spiritually, recognize their gifts, and fulfill their God-given calling. Her journey extended beyond Phoenix, Arizona, reaching communities and ministry efforts in Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Pakistan, India, and other parts of Africa and Asia. Throughout this journey, her heart has remained focused on sharing God’s love and meeting both the spiritual and practical needs of people.

In 2025, Train Em’ Up Ministries expanded its vision and transitioned into Train Em’ Up Destiny Global Outreach Center, reflecting a broader commitment to faith-based outreach, community support, leadership development, and global service. This transition represented an expansion of the original vision, building upon the foundation established in 2004 while creating new opportunities to serve individuals, families, and communities locally and internationally.

Under this expanded vision, Train Em’ Up Destiny Global Outreach Center continues the legacy of Train Em’ Up Ministries through initiatives that connect faith with practical action. These include Joseph’s Food Bank, focused on addressing food insecurity and helping meet essential food needs, and the Train Em’ Up Ministries Bridge the Gap Transportation Program, designed to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation support for seniors, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and others who need assistance accessing essential services and community resources.

Alongside these initiatives, the center remains committed to discipleship, leadership development, prayer, missions, family support, compassionate outreach, and community partnerships. Each area of service reflects the belief that ministry extends beyond the walls of a church or ministry center—it reaches into neighborhoods, families, and communities where encouragement, resources, and hope are needed.

Dr. Bessie believes that every person has value, every gift has purpose, and every life deserves an opportunity to grow and thrive. Her leadership is rooted in compassion, faith, mentorship, and a desire to equip children, youth, and adults to become strong leaders and positive influences in their communities.

Today, Train Em’ Up Destiny Global Outreach Center carries forward the original vision of Train Em’ Up Ministries, honoring its beginnings in 2004 while embracing a broader mission of local and global outreach. From spiritual development to food assistance, transportation support, and global missions, the center seeks to serve the whole person by bringing faith, compassion, and practical support together.

For Dr. Bessie Foster, the journey is not simply about how far the ministry has traveled, but about the lives touched, families strengthened, leaders equipped, and communities empowered along the way.

The vision continues: to answer God’s call, put His love into action, and equip people to discover their destiny while making a lasting difference in the world.
